Video journalist

Hello

Hi 👋

I’m a Washington, D.C.-based visual journalist working as a Video Producer focused on politics for The Washington Post. I’ve covered some of the most pressing political issues of our time— elections, presidential administrations, the pandemic, Congress, the Supreme Court, and much, much more. It’s a position that allows me to wear a variety of media production hats— I conceptualize and pitch original stories, conduct interviews, write and narrate scripts, produce and edit video, etc. etc. etc.  It keeps me busy!

Prior this role, I was The Post’s 2020 Campaign Coverage Video Editor following the presidential election from the early primaries through Biden’s inauguration. In this role I pitched and produced a weekly explainer video series “The 2020 Fix.” Ahead of the election, I got my start at The Post covering breaking political news in the Trump era.

Before that, I was an Associate Video Producer and Politics Reporter at CBS News, where I also cut web video for “Face the Nation” in addition to producing, shooting, and editing "The Takeout," a CBS News original podcast and streaming show on CBSN.

I first launched into the world of political journalism during my undergraduate career at George Washington University studying Journalism and Mass Communication within the School of Media and Public Affairs. I interned for NBC News’s “Meet the Press,” ABC News's “This Week,” and worked as a politics fellow for HuffPost Politics. And of course— are you really a professional journalist if you didn’t work as an editor for your university’s student paper? In December 2016 I graduated early, receiving Special Honors in my major, a magna cum laude distinction, and the Hoberman Prize for original and meaningful journalism.
